What's simulated or not yet wired live · read before deciding
  1. 01Forage outlook is fixture-derived
    Forage_outlook_quartile is hardcoded per fixture, not computed live from RAP. Production swaps in the live RAP timeseries · this is the feed that moves the carcass prediction most.
  2. 02Per-animal tags are simulated
    Per-animal DMI + activity readings come from mock-ceres.ts. Production replaces the synthetic backend with the real Tag API.
  3. 03Cohort attributes are seeded, not observed
    Breed mix, entry weight, days-on-feed are derived from contract terms via mock-cohort.ts. Production reads rancher records or attests via tag intake.
  4. 04Grid model is a generic Choice cutout
    USDA AMS LMR Choice + a default grid schedule. Production swaps in the buyer-calibrated grid (packer schedules differ on Yield Grade premiums and Standard discounts).
